Korea Expressway Corporation, Hyundai E&C, and IBK Industrial Bank of Korea in the women’s professional volleyball division completed all nominations for free agent (FA) compensation players on the 26th.
The Korea Expressway Corporation nominated Lee Go-eun (28) as a setter. Lee Go-eun joined the Korea Expressway Corporation in the 2013-2014 season rookie draft. After obtaining FA qualification in March of last year, he transferred to Pepper Savings Bank. Lee Go-eun, who played 33 matches at Pepper Savings Bank last season and finished 4th in the set, will return to her home team after a year.
Park Jung-ah, who led Korea Expressway Corporation to win the championship in the 2022-2023 season, recently signed a three-year contract with Pepper Savings Bank in FA for an annual total fee of 775 million won. Korea Expressway Corporation received 760 million won, 200% of Park Jung-ah’s annual salary (430 million won) last season, and Lee Go-eun as a reward player.
Hyundai E&C nominated outside heater Kim Joo-hyang (24). Kim Joo-hyang joined Hyundai E&C in the 2017-2018 season. In 2019, he transferred to IBK Industrial Bank as a compensation player for the late Yerim, who joined Hyundai E&C as a free agent, and returned as a compensation player for Hwang Min-kyung (IBK Industrial Bank of Korea) in this FA. The choice of IBK Industrial Bank was middle blocker Lim Hye-rim (18). Middle broker Kim Su-ji is expected to fill the position left by Heungkuk Life Insurance. Lim Hye-rim made his professional debut in the 2022-2023 season as the 2nd pick in the 1st round of the rookie draft. Kim Su-ji transferred to Heungkuk Life Insurance, a team belonging to her close friend Kim Yeon-kyung, in this free agency.
