It pours like a hole in the sky… Repeated showers accompanied by thunder and lightning in the metropolitan area

From the morning of the 11th, Chobok, it has been raining heavily accompanied by thunder and lightning in the central region. Rain will fall in most areas of the country on this day, and up to 120 mm is expected to pour in the metropolitan area and Chungnam. In particular, attention is required as showery rain in the form of a sudden stop is expected to repeat. 

The Korea Meteorological Administration announced that a heavy rain advisory would take effect in 10 Gyeonggi regions, including Ansan and Siheung at 8:00 a.m. and Suwon, Seongnam, Hwaseong, Anyang, Gwangju, Gunpo, Uiwang, and Gwacheon from 8:20 a.m. Heavy rain warnings have been issued for a total of 17 locations in the Gyeonggi region, including Yongin, Osan, Icheon, Anseong, and Yeoju at 8:30 a.m., and expanding to Hanam and Yangpyeong at 8:50 a.m. 

A heavy rain advisory went into effect at 8:50 am in Songpa-gu, Gangnam-gu, Seocho-gu, and Gangdong-gu in Seoul. 

A heavy rain advisory takes effect when a three-hour rainfall of 60 mm or a 12-hour rainfall of 110 mm or more is expected. Even if you use an umbrella, you should be aware of safety accidents such as overflowing valleys and rivers.

A large amount of rain pours all at once due to the effect of the barometric trough, and showery precipitation is expected. As if a hole had been pierced in the sky, the rain would pour down and stop, appearing repeatedly. 

Showers of precipitation fell until the 12th, and on the 13th, as the frontline approached from the Shandong Peninsula in China, it would rain heavily in the central region and the inland of North Gyeongsang Province from dawn.

The highest temperature during the day is expected to be between 26 and 32 degrees. As the hot and humid southwest wind blows, the daytime maximum temperature will exceed 30 degrees in many areas, and the feeling temperature will rise to more than 31 degrees in most areas.

A heat wave warning has been issued for the southern region, centered on Jeju (the highest daytime temperature of 37.3 degrees on the 10th in Jeju City) and Yeongnam, which recorded the second highest July temperature the previous day. Tropical nights will continue everywhere.

For the time being, as swells flow into the southern and Jeju coasts, waves high enough to exceed breakwaters or seashore rocks will come. There will also be thunder and lightning along with gusty winds over most of the sea.

In the distant East Sea, the wind blows strongly at 30-60km/h (9-16㎧) until the afternoon of this day, and the waves rise as high as 1.5-3.5m and then subside.

From this day to the 13th, winds of 30 to 50 km (8 to 14 ㎧) per hour and waves with a height of 1.5 to 3.0 m are expected in the distant sea in the southern part of the West Sea and the distant sea in Jeju.
