‘It’s been a long time since we lost’ Cesarho, the reason he was able to do well in the match against Poland

The Korean women’s volleyball team (ranked 36th in the world), led by coach Cesar Hernández González, performed well in its match against the European powerhouse Poland, ranked 7th in the world. For the first time in a long time, the performance was not bad enough to be evaluated as ‘lost well’ (lost but fought well).

Korea lost to the home team Poland with a set score of 1-3 (22-25 26-24 21-25 9-25) in the second match of the 2024 Paris Olympics Group C qualifier held in Łódź, Poland on먹튀검증 the 18th (Korean time). After losing 0-3 (11-25 20-25 17-25) to Italy the day before, they suffered their second consecutive loss. The possibility of a ticket to the Olympics, given to second place in the group, has dimmed.

Still, it was a better performance than the first game. They won a set against Poland under coach Stefano Lavarini, who led Korea to the semifinals at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. I gained strength from the middle of the first set. They fell behind by 11-18, but showed their strength in the second half of the set and chased down to 21-23. Although they lost the set 22-25, there was hope. In the second set, the match was tight from the beginning. It was a see-saw game, with the team scoring two points from 5-6 and turning the score around to 7-6. A crisis came in the middle. They gave up 5 runs at 14-14 and fell to 14-19. However, they chased down little by little to make it 21-21, and after a close deuce, they took a 26-24 lead and balanced the game.

We fought well in the 3rd set. They increased their attack accuracy and took leads of 9-6, 10-7, and 11-8. He continued to lead by 1 to 3 points, but his concentration wavered at the last minute and he allowed a reversal. He gave up four runs in a 19-20 loss and ended up trailing 21-25. In the 4th set, they trailed at 4-6 in the beginning, but fell down after a series of mistakes. The score gap further widened to 5-12 and 7-17, and the white flag was raised by giving 6 points in a row at 9-19. I realized the limitations of his height and physical strength.

In the end, poor blocking caught up with us. He was completely outclassed in blocking scoring with 8-22. However, they achieved equal records in serve accuracy and errors. They were not far behind Poland, who hit 3 serve aces and recorded 4, and the number of errors resulted in a tie at 21-21. Compared to the game against Italy, both offense and defense showed stability and performed well.

Korea, with its second consecutive loss, ranked 5th in Group C. They will try again for their first win against Germany on the 19th.
