The NC Dinos team enjoyed a cup of coffee while preparing for an exhibition game against the Lotte Giants held at NC Park in Changwon on the 24th.
On this day, at the entrance of the players’ team in the basement of NC Park, a coffee truck from fans celebrating the 10th anniversary of Park Min-woo’s professional debut welcomed the players on their way to work from early morning.
Park Min-woo’s fans delivered a plaque of appreciation dedicated to Park Min-woo with coffee or tea, and wished Park Min-woo and NC players good luck in the 2023 season with various types of drinks and homemade cookies.
NC coach Kang In-kwon also enjoyed a cup of fragrant chamomile thanks to Park Min-woo. Director Kang laughed, “After drinking coffee in the morning, I came out and had a cup of tea.”
Coach Kang joined NC as a battery coach in the first season of its founding in 2012 and shared the team’s growth process. At that time, I watched the youngest member, Park Min-woo, who joined NC in the ninth overall ranking in the first round, grow up as an infielder representing the KBO league as well as the Dinos closer than anyone else.
Although coach Kang temporarily moved the team to Doosan (2015-2017) and Hanwha (2018-2019), he was away for 5 years, but in the 2020 season, when he returned as the head coach of the NC 1 team, the team achieved the first integrated championship in history.
Director Kang said, “It’s already been 10 years since Park Min-woo (played in the first team). It’s most commendable that he hasn’t changed much since he was a rookie and now, and I want to praise him.” I am proud to see him always doing his best while maintaining his own image.”
He also joked, “It’s been 10 years, but I don’t think I’ve grown up.” After joking, he said, “I’ve become serious about baseball. He’s a player who thinks about how to make the atmosphere better when something goes down as a mood maker for our team. In many ways, I want to praise you.”
At the same time, director Kang emphasized that Park Min-woo should take on a leadership role within the next few years. Park Min-woo obtained his first FA (free agent) qualification after the end of last season, and remained as a Dinos One Club Man franchise star while remaining with NC for the longest contract period of 8 years (5+3 years) and up to 14 billion won.
Born in 1993, now in his 30s, considering his age, position in the team, and team composition, there is a high possibility that the ‘C’ mark will be attached to his uniform from next year at the earliest, or the year after that at the latest.
Director Kang sent strong trust, saying,스포츠토토 “The time for Park Min-woo to be the leader of the NC is gradually coming. Our squad has become very young, so Park Min-woo has to play a role. Now, he is not too young.”
